Learning how to use Google Sheets to help enhance my Genealogy exploration

Learning how to use Google Sheets to help enhance my Genealogy exploration

First I watched a tutorial - things have changed from first getting on Google with a Gmail account years ago. http://www.gcflearnfree.org/googlespreadsheets

I want to thank a cousin. Diane Angelini (an angel indeed) whose birthday is today for taking the time to tell me about Google and how you can store information and come back later to find it.

Secondly I recently joined a Study Group - Tracing Immigrant Ancestors on DearMYRTLE

Google + Hangouts. Mostly because of my interest in Genealogy and because I want to continue by perhaps writing my family history and preserving it for my children and now my Grandchildren. This seems like a good place to begin.

By joining Dear Myrtle Community I was then prompted to learn or relearn how to navigate Google and by watching several of her videos ( that are also on YouTube).

This Google Drive is awesome, but having only been using computers in my later years I am still catching up on Technology and this talk of the Cloud is like Science Fiction to me is some ways. But I am thankful that it exists. Now I need to create an example and learn how to insert it here and other places. BRB be right back when I accomplish the task I have set for myself.

I just found a Google Docs Keyboard Shortcuts that I printed and put in a plastic sheet cover with cardboard in the middle while I used to make spreadsheets in the past. It's been awhile so I have a lot to brush up on.

1st attempt - not so bad for a start.
